In February 2011, by vote of the church family, we adopted our new Constitution & By-laws. As a part of this new model, the first group of 12 Trustees were elected by the church family and began their term of service on October 1, 2011.
Much prayer and planning has gone into these important changes with the goal of helping us to become more effective in our mission. With this significant milestone being reached, we hope to accomplish the following:
- Utilizing the new governance structure to positively impact the growth of the church.
- Releasing our staff to be more effective in their ministries.
- Increasing laity involvement.
- Establishing a structure that builds accountability with the leadership and staff.
- Increasing the efficiency and timeliness of the decision-making process.
