CELEBRATE
With two of four construction projects now complete, we celebrate and praise God for new opportunities He will provide to reach out into our community through the new Promises Center at 140 NW Renfro St. and the enhancements made to theexterior of the children’s building. In a recent church-wide survey, we inquired, “What makes this church unique?” While many responses were given, three areas that topped the list were worship services, community outreach, and ministries to young families. In very specific ways, each of the four phases of Extending His Kingdom construction helps to further these unique aspects of the DNA at First Baptist Burleson.
Anticipate
The additional 500 seat worship space accomplishes one of our core objectives of using space creatively inanticipation of growth. When the new worship and event center is not serving its primary purpose as a worship facility, it will also serve as a perfect setting for community outreach endeavors such as: concerts, musicals, banquets, rallies, conferences and training events, and other special events where an auditorium style venue with flexible seating can be utilized.
A little known fact about the next phase of construction is that when completed we will actually have not one, but two atriums, one beside the Worship Center, the other a part of the Event Center. The Atriums will provide an atmosphere that will encourage people to arrive early for worship. Coffee and snacks will be availble. Teams will make sure that everyone receives a warm welcome. Aggressive hospitality will provide information and opportunity to connect with others before and after worship services. Large accommodating restrooms are also a part of the plan for both Atriums. All of this inside a comfortable, attractive building, not outside in the hot summer sun or the cold winter breeze.
