Portrait: DavidC   David Couch

Family:

My beautiful bride of twelve years Carrie (Lamb) Couch and our daughters Lauren and Ellen

My life verse is:

For the Lord your God is living among you.
      He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness.
With his love, he will calm all your fears.
He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”Zephaniah 3:17

Saved:

9 years old in Duncan, OK

If I could ask God one question:

Will I be able to slam a basketball with my new body in heaven?

Nobody knows that I:

Like to listen to country music.

I am happiest when:

I’m in a hammock without cell phone reception.

One of the things I find most fascinating is:

The body of Christ at work

The One Book (besides the Bible) I’d recommend to anyone is:

“The Normal Christian Life” by Watchman Nee

My last meal would be:

A bacon cheeseburger from Nicky D’s and a mint chocolate chip milk shake from Chick-fil-a. (bring it back)

I am most excited about:

My next date with my wife

On my iPod which is actually an MP-3 player:

I have classical music and the entire prep book for the National Counselors Exam…oh and a few songs from Shawn McDonald.

My trademark expression is:

“Hang in there”

My proudest moment is:

Having the privilege to baptize my oldest daughter Lauren.

If I could I would:

Fly (not in an airplane)

I could eat or drink:

I would eat or drink dark chocolate anytime

My pet peeve is:

Keeping the refrigerator door open, mayonnaise on the handle of the knife, having wet socks, and things that lack symmetry.

My perfect day would be:

Spent in Colorado, hanging out on the slopes all day long.

My favorite childhood memory is:

Sharing candy bars with my sister… I would break them, and then bite off the biggest part to make them even.

In my free time, I:

Like to do nothing involving a lawn mower or weed eater.

If I could do it over again, I’d:

I would have paid more attention to my Driver’s Ed instructor.

My favorite TV show is:

The Olympic sports channel

One of My Greatest Experiences with God is:

Sondays Camp the summer of 1993 when He turned me around
