Sr. Adult Ministry

We are currently in the process of implementing the 5 Star Ministry for Sr. Adults, which has been developed in a collaborative effort by Frank Miller and Bill Howell.  The 5 Star ministry includes:

• Homebound Education to Seniors
• Cargiver Support
• Benefits Counseling

• Nutrition and Physical Wellness

Additionally, we provide monthly fellowship opportunities with a luncheon on the first Thursday at noon, and a monthly day trip on another Thursday.  Typically, trips will be in the metroplex area, but we have taken trips to Brenan, to visit the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory, to Dublin, to visit the Dr Pepper Museum and to Waco to visit the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame, and the Dr Pepper museum.  Can you tell we love Dr Pepper?  These activities are wonderful times of fun and fellowship, and help to meet an important need in the life of our Senior Adults.

Lastly, we take a yearly trip for a Sr. Adult Conference.  Last year, we attended Phil Waldrep’s Celebrator’s Conference in Gatlinburg, Tenn.  This October we will be attending the Celebrator’s Conference which will be held in Branson, MO.  More info will be here as plans develop.
