What are Life Groups?

Life Groups are groups of 6-15 adults that meet weekly in a safe environment to build friendships, study God’s word and have fun.

How do I join a Life Group ?

Simply visit the LG information center in the Great Hall, find a group that fits you, and then once we have  your information we’ll help you connect with the leader.

You mentioned a safe environment, what do you mean?

We believe that significant life change occurs in our groups. Groups are where life’s problems are discussed, where people are supported, strengthened, and where lasting friendships are made. If people know that the environment will be safe and accepting then they are more likely to open themselves up to be authentic.

What is the expected life span for a Life Group?

Groups usually stay together a minimum of 6-13 weeks and usually top out at 2-3 years. Groups are open to anyone and can form at any time. So, feel free to visit several groups until you find the one that’s right for you!

How do I start a Life Group?

Contact the church office during the week or visit the LG info center on Sunday to receive further instructions.

Are life groups open or closed to visitors?

Groups are open but have the option of being closed. For example, a group is open to visitors but may need to close due to the nature of their current study. Either way, the group decides what is best while ensuring that their environment remains safe and predictable.

How often do life groups meet?

Life Groups are encouraged to meet once per week. Meeting once per week allows relationships to be cultivated which builds community and allows accountability to be maximized.

What about child care?

There’s no one answer to this question, as it relies on the make-up of your group. Each group is encouraged to use whatever creative means necessary in order to ensure every child is cared for during group. While the church does not provide childcare for LG’s, we do provide childcare reimbursement at 100%. Simply download the form, fill it out, and turn it in or fax to the church office.
