Creative Planning Team
Our Purpose: We are creating a time for believers to gather to encourage one another. A gathering where unbelievers joining us will know without a doubt that God is among us as we worship in spirit and in truth.
Our Plan. We meet once a month or twice in a quarter to plan and create engaging worship experiences for the upcoming months and special worship events such as concert opportunities and outreach opportunities in the community.

Worship Vocal Team
These folks lead in our Sunday morning corporate worship experiences each week. Some expectations include: memorizing songs and be at rehearsal prior to leading in worship on Sunday. Currently we have four vocal teams made of five members each who rotate throughout the month and participate leading worship for both Journey services. After filling out an application, a very low-key audition will be completed with the worship minister before participation on a team. There are opportunities and expectations for our vocal teams to support other events outside of Sunday morning worship.
Worship Band Team
These guys/gals provide the instrumental backdrop to our worship experiences. Some expectations include: spending time to learn the music and attending rehearsal prior to leading worship on Sunday. Currently we have two worship bands that play every other week in our Journey services. After filling out an application, a very low-key audition will be done with the worship minister during a rehearsal with one of the bands.
There are opportunities and expectations for our band team to support other events outside of Sunday morning worship.
Drama Team
These creative folks communicate the gospel through acting, script writing, and directing sketches. Some expectations include: meet regularly to plan, evaluate, create, and rehearse for drama to be used in worship. Currently we are looking for people who feel called to this particular ministry.
Media/Sound Team
If you like messing with computers, lighting, or mixing audio, then we have got a place for you. Join the team and help facilitate worship behind the scenes. Some expectations include: be willing to attend some training with our current media/tech team for at least a month and be willing to volunteer for “extra” times during the year as needed (Easter, Christmas).
Currently we have three sound teams made up of two people per team that rotate through the month and serve in both Journey services. We also have four media volunteers that rotate through the month and serve in all three services, including The Classic service on their particular day.
Also available are paid opportunities to run sound/media for weddings, funerals, and occasional community events, but you must first have training to use our equipment.

Community Events supported by the Worship ministry:
Founder’s Day- this is a community-wide festival in October every year. Our church is privileged to sponsor a stage providing only Christian music entertainment during this event. Please contact Cecille Davis at for more information or to see if you would qualify to participate.
